I left the Blue Bird for Blue Sky โค๏ธ Iโ€™ve been a political animal since my teens, living in Viet Nam in the late 60s made me political pretty damn quick. I am so worried about America. Also very very worried for my Canada. VIMY not VICHY - Charlie Angus

I agree. Weโ€™re playing for time, which we need. We need some measure of time to avoid escalation.
I know. And it will get much, much worse. The point is why are they not simply deporting Canadians. The answers are not good.
Indeed. The question is why they are not simply deported. Not hard to do. My guess is that 1. They donโ€™t give a damn. 2. The detention facilities are making huge profits - zero incentive to deport.
I agree. I suspect this will be possible for some, the flow of professionals has already started both in Canada and Europe. But my point remains, when it gets worse it is entirely possible that many will try to leave any way they can. This will be hugely challenging for both those fleeing and for CA

I have had to give in to more blood tests than I can count is the last year and a half. I suspect that a huge swath of Ontarians have no idea how many tests are no longer covered. Slowly but surely. To date I have spent about $800. And an additional $1000 for testing outside of Canada.
The family issues are so sad. For myself I cannot even imagine returning to the US.

I canโ€™t answer this. Itโ€™s anxiety producing at its peak. Who do we take in? How many can we take in? How many would cross the border with guns? How do we say no? How do we cope with an influx that could destroy our country? The prospect is dire either way.
I agree completely. Patience is still a strength.
I am also worried about our dairy farmers - and our milk. Having said this, Iโ€™m worried about everything. My comfort is my belief that we are playing chess and the US is playing Uno.
We didnโ€™t cave, we made a move on the chess board.
No argument on that. Itโ€™s just not possible to remain sane and consider all the possible horrors at the same time. ๐Ÿ˜‰
People are sleep walking through a crisis in Ontario.
You were correct the first time with Crumble. She is useless and at the core not a liberal at all.
I agree 100%. 1. I despise Bonnie Crombie and she was useless in the election and since. 2. The NDP lost their way.
There is no doubt that he is making money. Itโ€™s Harris on steroids.
Somewhere in the neighbourhood of 55 Canadians - those that we know about .. are in detention facilities in the US.

The United States is not safe for anyone. The evil and cruelty never end.

I very much doubt that I will ever set foot in the US again in my lifetime.

Iโ€™m not wild about this but I know it makes sense given timing issues & the spineless idjiots in the WH.

We have to hold our powder. The US today is dangerously stupid. They are literally burning their country to the ground. History tells us that this will not end well for them.

Still fuming about Ontarians who chose, deliberately chose, to sit out the last election. They ignored the active threats to everything we care about. God damn you all.
