What’s the point of this? DSA, Indivisible, Working Families and tons of just Zohran volunteers swept the floor with Cuomo despite being outspent 5 to 1. And Mamdani ran on a vaguely socialist platform. That’s enough for now.
Mamdani is obviously a fountain of charisma and an amazing political talent. His rise from nowhere is incredible. His general election victory, however, was not particularly special and certainly didn’t indicate that DSA socialism is about to sweep away mainstream Democratic politics

People will die, and are currently dying, because RFK was granted one of the most powerful megaphones in the country. Two people who could have thrown barriers in front of his climb decided not to; there's a sex scandal here but it is not the biggest scandal.

The answer is they want an excuse to occupy blue cities to interfere with the mid terms. It wouldn’t surprise me if the shooter turns out to be someone the intelligence agencies set up. They have a long history of doing so.
The obvious question of "500 more troops to do what?" has no good answer, but many bad ones.
Place National Guard in harm’s way for no good reason. Two members are tragically and unnecessarily shot. The reckless regime’s response: We’re sending 500 more National Guard troops! What a disgrace.

One homicidal white man has never been used as an excuse to criminalize all white men. We should not allow that to happen to immigrants in the aftermath of this DC shooting.

This is one of those things that rarely gets talked about that has had a massive effect.

As fields like journalism, art, and academia were collapsed and living expenses skyrocketed they came to skew increasingly toward people whose families could afford to supplement their income.
If you're ever wondered why journalists seem so out of touch most of the time it's because in order to establish yourself you need to either come from money, marry into money, or be OK with abject poverty and daily financial panic

That third thing is unsustainable long-term

Just a reminder that we could be living in an America in which Trump and his fellow conspirators are spending the rest of their lives in prison if we had serious politicians and a system that wasn’t hellbent on and designed toward self-destruction.

They’re right and Schumer needs to resign. He doesn’t have the skills or temperament for this fight.
Wow — Senators Van Hollen, Smith, Murphy, Sanders, Warren, Markey, Merkley, Heinrich have created an official internal "Fight Club."

They're challenging Schumer & Gillibrand's leadership, arguing the party is using an old, corporate-friendly playbook insufficient to take on Trump or win elections.

Something that must change in Democratic politics is the belief that democracy is “drama.”

Primaries and challenging leadership aren’t “drama,” it’s democracy.

Hesitation to participate in democracy only leads to an erosion of it.

Worse than voting for this piece of garbage is that Democrats did so despite it being full of blatant lies about numerous countries and history. It obscures Capitalism's role in tens of millions of deaths.
BREAKING: Republicans pass bill to condemn Socialism, 285-98. 86 House Democrats voted yes, further demonstrating that we have two right-wing parties in America. 2 members voted Present, and 47 members of the House did not vote (20 R and 27 D).

No shade to @pamkeithdc.bsky.social but this is the kind of thinking that keeps Dems on defense. Buttigieg is a good spokesperson if your audience is highly educated coastal liberals. If you want to reach the broad swath of working class Americans, you need someone tougher and more plain spoken.
Pete Buttigieg would be a good DNC spokesperson.

He would do a GREAT job of going around the country, being on TV all the time, and putting out Dem messaging on EVERY issue.

He would be an excellent counter-Leavitt. And we NEED one. He should be holding regular press conferences and putting

Zohran walking into the Oval Office, focusing on his key policy platforms, and coming away with an unqualified win over Trump really puts into relief how bad the Democratic leadership is that it has been repeatedly rendered totally impotent and made to look like bumbling cowards by the Donald.
