@jbfthismovie.bsky.social I always interpreted Superheroes to be about the change Frank has caused in them. Brad lied about his hidden homosexuality and misses the liberty, Janet gets ‘devoured’ by the beast/hero Frank and embraces her lust before becoming frigid /deceasing. Maybe I’m overthinking.

I will add that as yet another person who loves the movie, every time I watch it, like you two, I find the middle part to be a drag. Easy to forget when you just listen to the album.
