Are smaller "one-sitting" games the way to go? Sorrowful archive-scouring game TR-49 sees Inkle's best launch ever www.eurogamer.net/tr-49-inkles...

@inkle.co has done it again. Whether you'll like TR-49 probably depends on your tolerance for persevering with puzzles, but there's no question it's good. There's a lot packed into a deceptively simple-looking thing.
Inkle mixes archive-surfing and audio drama to create a surprisingly powerful story of obsession and a machine.

Slightly obsessed with Rust COO Alistair McFarlane offering to buy the game. I wonder what he'd do with it if it ever came to pass
You have 12 months to play Amazon's New World before it shuts down forever (unless the COO of Rust gets involved)

Something positive: Spry Fox is spinning out of Netflix. We are independent (once again!) and preparing to launch Spirit Crossing.

We wrote up a little blog post musing about this wild adventure. Worth sharing the good news.

Am I Nima on Steam
Am I Nima is a psychological-horror game where you must convince your mom that you really are her daughter. Combine words together in your brain and use them to talk. Get her to trust you.

Here's the thing, see. There are two types of narrative game. There's RPG and there's adventure game. That's it. Only the names are all wrong. RPG isn't RPG. It's second-person. You do this? Great. Now you do that. Adventure is the other kind. Third-person. You there! Do this! Now, do that! End of.

Can GOG also bring multiplayer games back from the dead?

Crunch is bad. Crunch ruins lives. Crunch kills. Don't ask for it. Don't do it. It's bad.

I can't believe I still have to say this after all these years.

I did not expect to hear the former exec producer of Anthem outline a pitch for making it a single-player game, but here we are.

Also, local servers!

Anthem has never been more exciting?
Could Anthem live on? Tech allowing us to host our own servers existed, former executive producer says - it would just need to be "salvaged and recovered".

And that's not the only idea for Anthem's future he has... www.eurogamer.net/anthem-local...

Enjoyed this by Oli. I get the feeling it's long past cool to like Diablo 4, but is it better than people give it credit for?

It's great that @lilchopshopgal.bsky.social sought Maxence out to talk about this. I imagine there are many other such situations where a mo-cap performer has remained invisible. But such is the Clair Obscur effect that it's changed his life - and rightfully so - regardless.
