I feel increasingly de-coupled from so many people I talk to. It feels like unless people can see what is happening with both Climate Change and AI/AGI, I really have no way of communicating with them that does not feel like pointless wittering about the weather.

I find using Claude to help in gamedev to be so astonishing. I know a lot of devs who don't use real AI think its just chatgpt from years ago, but I can paste a screenshot into Claude and ask it to suggest ways to improve the look of something...and it just does it. Really well, and on demand :D.

Sigh. Depressing that people in 2026 spread FUD about this but NO, you can't have your charging cable stolen or pulled out when you charge your EV. FFS do you really think nobody thought about this stuff?

I'm staying in a house on a beach in Suffolk and... by random chance this is visible from the Kitchen! I *think* its one of those big ships they use to install offshore wind turbines? Kinda cool. Visibility not good enough to see if there are installed ones behind it, but I think so.

When I was a kid, buying a 'single' was about £1. So if you now only get £0.003 per stream as an artist then... holy crap. No way did I play any of those singles 300 times. And that is in 1970s prices. Musicians are being ripped off big time. Glad I gave up TBH. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
