Forget newspaper website trash. If you want to know how the budget today affects you, ask a chatbot. I asked grok, as its very up to date. I'm about £3k worse off per year, which I think is fine to be honest. Almost entirely due to dividend tax rate changes. I'll be a bit worse off as an EV driver..

Posting about the xpeng robot on a site full of americans is a waste of time./ Any US tech (Tesla etc) is AWESOME AND WORLD LEADING.
Actually better tech from China is propaganda! The US will continue to spiral into scientific irrelevance and economic decline due to its xenophobia and racism.

I'm more excited that my bank account gives me a free sausage roll each week than I probably would be if my pension went up 5%.

YES. This is the ultimate rebuttal for those muppets who claim that we can make aviation sustainable so we should expand airports. Bloody prove it.

BOOM! I'm working on some particle effect stuff, specifically point sprites, and level-of-detail particle effects. This is the particles-only component of a cruiser explosion (without plumes, hulks, lens flares and distortion waves and debris).
#RidiculousSpaceBattles is getting there!

Tomorrow is the UK budget and an important one. I am kind of looking forward to it, in a politics/economics geek way. It will almost certainly make we worse off, but given our country's debt and problems, thats to be expected.
Its a tough set of decisions, and I'm glad I don't have to make them.

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

Kind of mad. XPeng demonstrated their humanoid robot and it looked so natural everyone said it was someone in a suit, so they cut part of its leg away on stage to prove it.

I'm sure people will still doubt it, but on the face of it, this is amazing.

Govt's own report shows building nuclear is catastrophically expensive, but decides that this must mean the process is wrong, not the economics of a ridiculous, dangerous, highly concentrated, always too late and too costly power system. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Renewables are WAY cheaper.
UK most expensive place to develop nuclear power, report says
Experts criticise “overly complex” rules and call for an overhaul of Britain's nuclear strategy.

People are way,way too loud in public. Social media has tricked people into thinking they are all VIP celebrities and the center of attention 24/7. You are not that interesting. Nobody wants to hear your conversation except maybe the person right in front of you! STFU.

Just noticed CNN has added 'CNN Shorts'. Interviews with random people, the length of a tiktok clip. Because apparently US politics was not low-brow and simplistic and aimed at people with low enough IQs.
FFS we need to recapture the concept of a long attention span.
