Oh yes. The super late night, and then still getting up before the sun. Then everyone’s grumpy for the rest of the day! Sleepovers suuuuuck.

We're all sore on the COVID arm. Flu arm already seems fine after a day. I couldn't figure out why everyone was so grumpy and had headaches last night. Literally considered a gasleak before the shot lol

did anyone have side effects from the C0vid vax this year? My whole fam got Moderna (and flu) shots yesterday and we all feel crappy today. Headaches and chills. It started for the kids and me about 11 hours later and my husband this morning.

Good luck! We have today off but go for the next 3 Saturdays straight. Happy Band-tober, as my banders say.

I did not know this was a thing until just this moment. I'm interested to know if this is common!

Baby’s first active shooter scare ✅

I am a mess, everyone is ok and my son is sitting here in my office totally fine AND YET.

(He ran off campus and called me and kept his friends calm and I'm so proud but why do we have to live like this???)

4/5 of us go tomorrow morning for both. I hope it takes under 1 hour, 20 min. 🤞

Wooo Scott’s marching band got 7 trophies tonight at the 1st competition, including Reserve Grand Champions. So proud of my barely 3A band.

Yeah we just hired our first employee born in this millennium. Husband and I are only a few months from being able to actually be her parents, since we started dating in 2001.

I’m so sorry Cindy. Thinking of your whole family today.

Oh I am SO jealous. Get a whiff of that head for me.

Ok so my mom texted me this morning, "do you have a minute to talk?" Which is how my parents will usually tell me someone died. Don't text your adult kids like this! (Dad was not dead, but he'd been to the ER yesterday and NO ONE TOLD ME. That part is not petty, but the text is.)

It did jack shit for me while pregnant but I would be doing the same.

that's a good point. We used to always have wings bc we had people who were keto, but some have retired and some are no longer keto, so they're probably not needed either (dietary-restriction-wise)

So, I need pizza math, but for a law firm lunch and learn thing. 17 adults, but 4 probably won't eat anything or much due to hours and history so I'm thinking 5 pizzas plus salad and maybe wings/garlic bread?

A dad at flag football has a folding chair that is a hammock like that. His son has been on M's team for several seasons and I swear he gets asked every week where he got it. (I think he says REI but you can get them lots of places now)

My friend told me a story where her 2nd woke up from his nap and said directly into the monitor "Nurse please!" Like he was ordering at a drive through.

Our next door neighbor was our babysitter for years and we semi-seriously talked about paying her to come over just to put the boys down on a regular basis. Never did it bc we knew it wouldn't last.

I see you beat me to it!

Thirding the Ethan Frome reaction. The fucking pickle dish.

Wow that's awesome! At our middle and high schools they're taking beginners at just about every grade (S started in 9th, but was told he could even join up in 8th), because they need the numbers. The bands are good, but have not recovered from covid

I played french horn and yeah. The amount of times I had to haul that sucker on the bus seemed infinite.

the "tears have been shed" comment gets me. My boy is SO WORRIED. What if he doesn't like band? What if he chooses the wrong instrument? Then you quit or you switch? It's not a big deal to switch instruments here; they're happy to have kids playing ANYTHING right now.
