Trying to wrestle back some of the centre-right. Smart play. I’m sure that’ll go over well with the base.

Considering the length of a traffic stop, this is impressive.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that the government has to pass legislation for this and that companies can’t just be smart about it.

That being said, it’s the right thing. Doctors will give you a note for whatever you want for $20. It’s been a useless endeavour all along.

Bucky with a Grey Cup hangover?
It was a blast from the past as former Jets netminder Michael Hutchinson was filling in for his old goalie parter Connor Hellebuyck who didn’t participate today in practice.

Shout out to Winnipeg Jets owner David Thomson
These capabilities ICE has via Thomson Reuters and Motorola are mind boggling. marries license plate data with voter and ownership records, future location prediction (unclear how good this is), face recognition. Surveillance state continues apace

Good point. I assume for a certain $ amount, that would have been in play.

I'm curious to what level the compensation was. The fact they did it so many times leads me to think it wasn't a crazy amount.

While the ticket-fixing scandal is an issue, the fact nobody is surprised is the story. The “one bad apple” idea is irrelevant when the culture is what it is.

Just a reminder as our taxes go up, the police budget is 25% of our city budget.

Stayed tuned for Doug's update next week! Gonna be a doozy!
Based on social media posts and sightings, 529 Wellington is going to make a quarter-year worth of sales in a week. And that might just be the TSN media’s portion, not even the teams themselves

You have to go look at Reddit.

As terrible as this case is (and the details are MIND BOGGLING), if got some serious questions about how someone so brazen did this for so long, where the others that obviously knew are now, and what they plan to do moving forward about this.
November 8, 2025 at 2:43 PM
Yep. True.

And the state of the city shows it.

Also doesn't help that we spend what we do collect on stupid shit and the council can't make a convicted decision without running some expensive "study".
Think Winnipeg’s property taxes are high compared to other cities?

Here’s a surprise — they’re actually the lowest among major Canadian cities for a typical home.

I’ll be sharing more info about how Winnipeg stacks up ahead of the November 14 city budget.

Perfect representation of fight, flight and freeze.

Oz - Fight (hate the guy, but he took action)
RFK - Flight (guess that's probably from family history)
Trump - Freeze (might have shit himself)
holy shit -- one of Trump's toadies just passed out and the White House event is brought to an abrupt end
