Zuck decided I needed to see a Libertarian page's post and like.... my dude proudly declared that he's a stubborn man-child who throws tantrums over eating vegetables (and can't land a steady date and it's Greta Thunberg's fault).

This has got to be the most Libertarian thing that I ever did see.

They replaced David Hogg with Shasti Conrad, who drove WA Dems' budget into the ground and jacked up the price of basic candidate tools.

Go drive Paul Wellstone's bus off a cliff. The DNC is deader anyway.
Cash-strapped DNC takes on $15 million in loans
A major political committee taking out this large of a loan so far removed from a major election is unusual.

Term limits isn't good enough. You know how many lawmakers just become lobbyists after that nice little resume?
I think along with term limits, lawmakers should serve the same number of years as the least-paying job of their constituents with no support after service. They should work accordingly.

I don't think I've ever been in a more bleak state about the world and much as I want to be, I'm not optimistic in the slightest about the future of King County or this state. I genuinely don't think we'll see the change we're longing for. The rot is too ingrained. I hope I'm wrong.

Progressives in Seattle:
Take a break from the victory lap before you forget that this story exists.
Would you be okay if this was a Republican?
If the answer is "no" then remember your ethics.
Surely someone in Seattle can do good policy without blowing The Stranger's editorial board.

Pro tip (from something that just happened): if you are a legislator and getting bad press, DON'T slide into a commenter's private DMs to talk about how mad you are that you expressed your disproval when you aren't connected with them online.
Good job HDCC of Washington, way to pick winners.

Just going to share these screenshots I saved that DNC vice chair Shasti had even in 2019, and when I warned her again about the founder and leader of an organization of people who don't deserve constitutional protections.
They don't just CAIR. They don't give a shit

Hey @ WashDems, why are we focusing on Chicago when we have people in Washington, including the husband of a former congressional candidate (and veteran and amputee from his time in service), in ICE custody?
Is it because that candidate challenged your Palantir-funded booty call Adam Smith?

Just remember that Washington State actually cut funding for childcare and people lost their jobs, so Bob Ferguson jerking off billionaire philanthropists instead of taxing them for childcare is not exactly a service to anyone but the ones getting jerked off

Why the fuck is the Kent Chief of Police who covered up a literal nazi part of Girmay Zahilay's team?

Oh right because the only thing that changed in King County was getting a more diverse face for the same racist systems.

Washington State Democrats is led by someone who spent her energy caping for and covering up known domestic violence abusers in the party and the DNC let her be vice chair so yeah
1. If they conveniently forget #metoo
2. If they call genocide a "purity test"

Why do you think they'd care?

See: #waleg acting like we don't have a damn near supermajority trifecta and we spend our power being sleazy shitheads
(or, if you're the state party chair Shasti Conrad, covering up and caping for domestic violence perps like Carmen Rivera because #loyalty)
Democrats need a leader who is aware of the American political events of this century
SCOOP: Schumer was more involved than reported with the attempted cave on the government shutdown. The Gang of 8 Senate Dems had his approval & he was getting daily updates.
In Thursday's caucus meeting, the Gang claimed they had 10 votes to cave. The caucus went nuts, leading to the new proposal.

One version of "temperament unfit for elected office" we don't talk enough is spineless sycophants.
We gotta stop endorsing people like June Robinson, vote her ass out Everett

To my friends in Renton,
Mary Clymer is really nobody to be afraid of. It's not like she'd try to assault you or destroy your car in attempting to assault you. That would be her opponent who is the epitome of everything wrong with the Washington Democrat Party

The funny thing about racists is that they go after my Norwegian inspired first name that suggests I'm a Christian (I'm a very loud atheist).
Meanwhile, my last name is Filipino

This is kinda what we call an inconvenient truth, but on the other hand, I will say that going vegetarian with most of my vegetarian meals ending up being vegan, is really not bad.

But I do side eye greenwashing environmentalists who dismiss the role of ag. because it means $$$ is their fave green
NonVegan #climate activism has been an undeniable and increasingly unforgivable failure, and the omission of these inconvenient facts is why
