The more I ponder the pics of Maduro, the more I’ve begun to see the White House’s Twitter as the modern-day equivalent of the Roman triumphal procession. Publicly humiliating any captive—whether Vercingetorix, Zenobia, Jewish Captives taken under Vespasian, or a modern leader—is cruel and inhumane.
