The obvious solution is to let in the P4 CCG participants and four at-large berths.

My only basis for this stance is that it would resulted in both Duke and UVA in the playoff and honestly, it’s funnier that way.

Am I mad that Bama should’ve gotten in? At the expense of fellow blue-blood Notre Dame? No. I cannot even summon a slight molecule of sympathy for the Irish.

But am I amused that Bama’s getting their kryptonite in the first round as their reward? Definitely.

Watching the ACCCG instead of the B1GCG feels a little bit like eating tripe instead of steak.

And yet, I’m over here with my bowl of menudo.

I’m pretty sure that I don’t need that herb lecturing anyone about “masculine leadership.”
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

“It's time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable,” writes Joe Lonsdale.

This is where Silicon Valley authoritarianism is heading:

How tight are the margins in MLS?

If Vancouver hadn't taken an 11th-minute red card on the last day of the regular season and lost to a desperate FC Dallas side chasing a playoff spot (VWFC still won the xG battle in that one), but instead took 3 points there... today's final would be at BC Place.

Without commenting on the actual content of quoted skeet, which is almost certainly correct, I just gotta say that a tall player who’s good on aerial threats being named “Aerial” is /chef’s kiss.
It's perplexing that Aerial Chavarin hasn't been called up to the USWNT and that it isn't even talked about. 36 goals for Cruz Azul in 36 games. It feels like the same disregard for Liga MX Femenil that kept Mia Fishel out of the USWNT is at work here. At least call Aerial to a training Camp. My God

I’m glad that y’all watched the World Cup draw so I didn’t have to. I’ve watched plenty of celebrities’ fetching ping-pong balls out of bowls for one lifetime, so I wasn’t likely to watch, even before it became the Infantino-gives-Trump-a-handy Show.

I watched Fortuna Düsseldorf-Schalke 04 instead.

This dog has participated in been in the AO section at USMNT games and participated in a few of the bigoted chants that some fratboy or another has started.
US Soccer has a new mascot, and I'll be honest: I find this dog very untrustworthy

I read somewhere, either here or at The Other Place, that if you're making upper middle-class dough or above, then it is within your means to commission a piece of original artwork.

You don't have to be a Rockefeller to get a piece of art that you like for yourself.
If we can only have art from people who "aren't in it for the money" that means we can only have art from privileged middle-class dilettantes. Making art being a viable career is responsible for nearly all worthwhile art, and if it's not a viable career any more we will get drastically less of it.

More Thierry Henry, less Alexi Lalas.

(I'd say that Fox should bring in the entire Paramount UEFA Champions League studio team, but I understand that they have gigs with other broadcasters during the tournament.)

So… it’s looks as if my wife and I are gonna be traveling to Porto, Aveiro (we’re interested in seeing the Venice of Portugal), and Galicia next spring.

We figure that we’ll be there for two weeks total. Is there anything we absolutely should or should not see/do while we’re there?
