Hey hey hey. We paid them for their engines. It’s not our fault Bombardier paid us more money to fix the A220 first lmao.

But I feel like something will come out of this. Spirit will emerge in some way. What that looks like I have no idea. I don’t think they’ll fully let it die.

I think JetBlue would have survived if they offloaded a good chunk of Spirits assets and consolidated the network.

But the DOJs ruling that it was bad for competition is stupid. Now instead of one airline living on within another you have an airline that’s about to cease to exist

Also a flight full of vets getting home after an honor trip to DC landed just before our flight got in and they all piled into the bar just as I had to wrap up. Apparently the airport manager bought em all a round. Good on him.

There’s so little info out there on this entire operation. Like it might have been a contract by the Maltese government to drum up tourism and Harbour Air was the only airline with enough seaplanes to do it, but no one really knows why they went Mediterranean for a few years.
