I don’t think he’d even be in the first 20. Read a history book lads.
Oh, Daily Mail, never let history get in the way of a dramatic headline.
“Will Andrew become the first royal to go to prison?”
The Tower of London would like a word.

Well, that was a short summer. Naturally, we’ve run out of heating oil too.

I saw this picture of my Dad having fun in Morocco some years ago, for the first time yesterday. I love it.

This Ancient Egyptian board game is almost 4,000 years old!

Known as ‘Hounds and Jackals’ or ‘Game of 58 holes’, its original name is unknown. It’s suggested it was played in a similar way to ‘Snakes and Ladders’.

Being nice really matters. In the depths of cancer, a woman carried my little bag of shopping, a bus driver helped me get on the bus, a cabbie reduced the charge for the trip from Aldgate to Bart's for chemo. You never know what is going on in someone else's life so just be kind.
My mother died this week. I’m not posting this for sympathy, although thank you. But I realised I was so extremely grateful for people who showed small kindnesses this week. People who let me out while I was driving to her deathbed. People who smiled when I got stuck at the self service supermarket.

Just checking, it's now ok to flee your homeland, because you're afraid for your safety, and seek refuge in another Country?

Glad we've cleared that up. Let's hear no more about immigration and refugees then.

A fascinating book full of interesting historical details, e.g. Russia was named after red headed Vikings who traded slaves along the banks of the Volga. I’d no idea they had travelled that far. Lots more too.
