Found out I’ll be traveling more this year than previous. Just a bit farther, crossing these state lines more frequently; TN, KY, GA, NC, SC, VA, WV
Looking forward to visiting a lot of new comic shops. And hoping I’ve got mutuals who can recommend the best places to stop at when the time comes!

16 hours in, my guess this was all intended basically as a coup to put VP Delcy Rodriguez in power (likely without her knowledge but 🤷).
At least for democracy & human rights, that might be even worse than the "opening shots in a war" scenario.

Oh I quite liked Geiger V.2
I enjoyed the heck out of Gary Frank art in the first trade paperback but the story didn’t grab me. I thought it was fine, just not something I’d keep reading. But after recently picking up Junkyard Joe and Redcoat, I decided to revisit Geiger. And boy I’m glad I did.

Oh I quite liked Geiger V.2

Squarebound format is hell on pictures, but I managed a decent shot of this discussion around Cynosure’s pan-dimensional existence between Grimjack and Vanth Dreadstar inside Munden’s Bar. Zoom in and enjoy!

The final two issues of Crossroads picked up a bit. Shawn McManus art made #4 a lot of fun paired with a good plot even if the story did need some trimming. In issue 5, Mike Baron has quite a bit of fun with Cynosure’s transdimensional status. And McDonnell & Mayerik made for a decent pair on art.

Came back to today’s Grimjack comic to read the Munden’s Bar back up story and I just took a minute to really enjoy this cover. What little issue I had with the inside, ZERO complaints about THIS outstanding artwork. Flint Henry was cooking on this! 🔥

Throughout this comic I kept getting the feeling the art was a bit off. The sharpness in Flint Henry’s detailed work from the previous four issues just wasn’t there. So it wasn’t a surprise checking the credits to see he had used an inker for the first time on Grimjack.

Crossroads isn’t so much an event as seems it was a Team-Up book. First, Jon Sable and Whisper cross each other during a domestic case tied to the mob. Next issue Sable runs into Badger after taking a job for the CIA linked to a massacre in Vietnam.
Enjoyable stories so far but the art is lacking.
