"A closed mind leads to stagnant thoughts."
Looking forward to visiting a lot of new comic shops. And hoping I’ve got mutuals who can recommend the best places to stop at when the time comes!
At least for democracy & human rights, that might be even worse than the "opening shots in a war" scenario.
All speculation, but let me explain:
I enjoyed the heck out of Gary Frank art in the first trade paperback but the story didn’t grab me. I thought it was fine, just not something I’d keep reading. But after recently picking up Junkyard Joe and Redcoat, I decided to revisit Geiger. And boy I’m glad I did.

It’s about oil and regime change.
And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

That’s right, Richard Rider’s infamous catchphrase didn’t start out as simply “Blue blazes!”, but included the “holy” prefix popularized by actor Burt Ward as Robin in the 1966 Batman TV series! 😂

This first of three issues exploring the history of Grimjck’s most recent body takes us to a high school reunion. The unfamiliar setting for our title character makes for a good tale despite all the usual clichés one would expect turning up.

I’m so done with this guy.
You get the numbers by FORCING THE ISSUE. You make NOISE, you DEMAND, you NEVER STOP YELLING.
You do nothing? You get nothing.
Ignore the clowns. Call your fucking reps and tell them to do their jobs and IMPEACH.

Throughout this comic I kept getting the feeling the art was a bit off. The sharpness in Flint Henry’s detailed work from the previous four issues just wasn’t there. So it wasn’t a surprise checking the credits to see he had used an inker for the first time on Grimjack.

Enjoyable stories so far but the art is lacking.

I could read comic books with Robin and Superman teaming up all day long. Especially when paired with Kevin Nowlan art.
