It's a DC war anthology. I never read the old stuff, but they feature characters like Unknown soldier.

This one featured a group of soldiers, one who was killed and resurrected as a Zombie. It had a couple heavy moments but a lot of laughs from what I remember.

Using an Interior for 9.) Pia Guerra because Y: The Last man is one of the most well written comics of all time, and Issue one I think is the best representation of an Issue 1 you can ask for!

I had no expectations going in, but I'm in awe of how good of a setup this was. This is what an issue 1 should do. The story & characters are clearly introduced. It's high stakes and fun. The last few pages really pulled me in. This is what an event should feel like!

Thank you for the wonderful book! The story was fun and easy to follow, and I loved the representation! It's a book I could hand off to my wife and know she'd love it, and she doesn't read much outside of Gotham or indie titles. Have a fun and safe time at NYCC btw!

I have not read #Marvel Comic published after 2017 until today. @jeremywhitley.bsky.social put out a great book that I rate as "New and returning reader friendly." Great hook and great Character introductions. This is EXACTLY what I want in an Issue 1.

I don't like "buying" a digital item. I do really enjoy the marvel/DC apps and Globalcomix. I'll pay for a Library or streaming service of books. If I'm going to buy a single thing, I'd rather it physically so I can pass it on.
