You can't raise living standards of the bottom 85% by only going after the consumption of the 900 richest people
You have to tax the consumption of most affluent 15% to build social democracy. Not sure if it's ever politically viable but hope activists at least get the concept.

Quite honestly, I don't know that we can continue to live as a nation with this. There's really no room for compromise with people that hate everything you stand, for they are so diametrically opposed to the people who just want their constitution and laws enforced.
