Exiled from the Bird Site for taking the fight to the terrorists. Actually pretty friendly when not dealing with extremists and whackos. Still, I've got something to make just about anybody mad.

What's that? Do I have any hobbies? Oh, mostly just telling people things they don't want to hear.
"Unfortunately" is already an unfortunately long word, so what the hell is up with the Spanish "desafortunadamente"? Look, we don't have all day here.

I feel like I was made for AI-assisted sofware development. I'm not one of these people who ever deeply loved coding; coding was always a means to an end, just a way (a frequently annoying way) to build stuff. Do you think mathemeticians love to sit around doing arithmetic all the time? lol
February 18, 2026 at 3:50 AM
All the histrionics about AI are starting to feel like that point in the 1980s when all these people in the US were freaking out that the Japanese were going to take over.

What's exhausting is your overwrought sense of grievance. It's a fucking hard drive. Supply will catch up with demand and it's not something you need to survive. Get a life.
Fun little update:

The $260 4tb SSD I wanted to buy 4 months ago is now:

$809 at retail price.

So I guess we just don’t get to afford computers now?

I’m in desperate need of good news, man. Watching society rapidly decay is exhausting.

The people who flipped out when the United States cut USAID, let's operationally define them as the "globalists" to make this conversation simpler.
I hate that we have to now pretend that "Globalists" are an actual thing. Absolutely terrible article in Foreign Affairs btw.

Defunding PBS was a long time coming.
I don’t know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is

The kind of mind that reads about microchips made with doped silicon and thinks "sand can do math now" is exactly the kind of mind that thinks "men can have babies now".
sand can do math

men can get pregnant

we can edit DNA

we went to the moon. the moon in the fucking *sky*.

that stuff is just normal now, and obsessing over strangers genitals is what's weird
Hard to get weirder than "men can have babies now", chief.

Yeah buddy people who paid off their own student loans are not "grateful" to be forced to pay off other people's student loans by executive order. Nor are they "grateful" for an open border policy.
A thing that exploding my Twitter made it difficult for me to prove that I've said back to at least 2016 is that voters do not vote out of gratitude
I thought we all learned from Biden that voters don't actually reward progressive legislation wins, and that the idea of deliverism was completely dead

Inflation Reduction Act, American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPS and Science Act

Plenty got delivered. Didn't get rewarded.

Yes you see we don't want progressive legislation. We don't share your idea of "progress".

If Dems delivered on progressive policy—or even credibly fought for it—they'd be winning elections. Big donors ensure that they don't.

It would be infinitely more productive if those punching down on the electorate pushed instead for Dems to ditch big donors.

Zelensky should be more careful.

Gripens are actually great for countries like Ukraine because they can land on like any highway and are relatively easy to service. But let's not pretend they have parity with an F-35, just because of feelings.
I second that motion.

I really wouldn't want to live in Will Stancil's America either.
I'm sorry, but this is obfuscation. The reality is simple.

Trump and his adherents are fascist white supremacists aiming to destroy every good thing in America.

If you look at a choice between them and a Democrat - any Democrat - and go "eh, not left enough, I'll pass" you are a child and a fool.
I've seen a bunch of this online, mostly from people less credible than Stancil. I've been a union organizer for almost 30 years and worked on every election in that time period. (I also voted for Harris and protested the genocide.) Posts like this fail to grasp 3 universal truths about elections.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but insulting potential voters isn’t going to win anybody over. Unless you care more about being right on the internet, than you actually do about winning elections.

The gaza economy was inflated with international aid.

Hamas directly stole some of the money. And when that wasn't an option they taxed the economy to fund terrorism.

Any social services that did exist (and terror infrastructure) were both funded by countries like Ireland sending the money.

<whispers> it won't get done
A partial DHS shutdown is great. But the rot starts at the top, and we must impeach Kristi Noem.

Let’s tell our representatives to get it done!

We've been "killing human jobs for about eight thousand years", and we are all MUCH better off for it.
The Washington Post editorial page shows its ass every day as a tool to advance Bezos positions. Last week, there was some hysterical union bashing. Today it's a pro-driverless car piece, a business Amazon is in. Anything to kil human jobs.

So like, can men have babies or not, Will?
There are very few things I believe more strongly than this:

If you orient your politics around things that you know are not true, or don’t care if are true, whether because it sounds good, or you think it’ll impress people, or any other reason, you are planting the seeds of your own destruction.

It's easy to win arguments with false dichotomies. I think the families of victims killed by illegal immigrants would like a word.
Like I agree with you on the trans sports rules! But if my only options are bad trans sports rules that we'll have to work to overturn or *fucking concentration camps*, that's the easiest choice of my life. If it isn't the easiest choice of your life, there's something wrong with you.
