You are being influenced in ways that you don't even perceive by people that are actually your enemies, posing as your "friends".
I'm trying to remember the last time that lyrics mattered at all in music. I believe I was a kid at the time. Maybe that's why I'm getting some nostalgia for it.

Unless you like paying again for a game you already own, or you like paying full price for middling half-baked games, getting the Switch 2 seems to have been a bad idea thus far.

You just wait for whatever luddite we install in office next time around, then China will really be giddily lapping us. Do you want China to be your daddy or do you want American billionaires to be your daddy... Democratic voters will decide this...

Thank goodness for fake bot accounts on social media. How else would we get our news?

If your body is lacking in sodium, you generally have a serious medical issue & are heading to the hospital. Almost all of us ingest way too much sodium as it is.

If you are heavily exercising, you likely are ingesting so many calories that you are having even MORE sodium than you would otherwise.

Nobody in the US would be healthier or have better athletic performance if they bought salt water from the store. No one. It's even debatable whether there is a measurable benefit to extreme athletes like Olympic sprinters. Let alone couch potato weekend warrior types.

Why are "electrolytes" the biggest & best marketing ploy now? I've looked at some of these products on the store shelf out of curiosity & some of them have 50% of your daily value of sodium in them. And it's marketed (successfully) as a health product!

🙂

Modern California government only gets anything right strictly through historically stronger leadership (politicians 4 or 5 generations ago happened to get it right) or luck.

If CA didn't already have this in place from 1872, it would've never happened in say 2022.

Yep, I was around in 1872 when that happened. Great day for worker's rights.

Social media virality creates incentives for creating personas & saying things you don't actually believe.

Still too bad.

To retain my fundamental belief in meritocracy, there's still part of me wanting to believe it's an act. We know it's all an act for Vance for example, & several others.

She's fallen off a cliff seemingly. What a waste. Anyone with degrees from UW & Arizona is intelligent enough to not have to declare their intelligence level.

The initial rollout of the Google search thing set AI back permanently for a subset of people. Many people permanently stick to whatever their first impression is of anything.

What they don't realize is this pokes an unfixable hole in their entire belief system. If someone kinda sorta feels a bit nonbinary today but then is feeling like a mom with 3 kids tomorrow, that completely eliminates the idea that this is all biological & "TRANS FOLX HAVE ALWAYS EXISTED!"
