Hello theatre pals, and everyone. It’s nice to see you here.
I live in Athens now, and I’ve been taking a lot of pictures, relearning my way around the old place.

I don’t know what ‘real cinema’ is, but I Love You To Death is my favourite movie that no-one else I’m aware of cares about.
What’s your favourite movie that YOU KNOW is fantastic, and you couldn’t care less if movie snobs would say it “isn’t real cinema?”

What the actual hell
NHS England: “It will not be possible to halt the spread of a new pandemic virus, and it would be a waste of public health resources and capacity to attempt to do so.”

This has got to be one of the most 🤯 things I’ve ever seen written down in an official document.

I keep trying to make a joke about all the dramatic verse that lives in my head but the truth is I’ve never made rent from it.

I guarantee you if we took all the funding away from the legendary assholes and gave it to talented nice people, we would have an equal if not greater amount of good movies and fewer traumatized and miserable assistants, crew, and actors.

There’s not a single filmmaker who is so magically good it should excuse them being a bully. Not one. Give their money to someone else. We have plenty of talent and too many assholes hogging the resources.

A team of 43 scientists says pesticide and plastic regulation needs a major overhaul. Full commercial formulations—often containing petrochemical waste and heavy metals—can be far more toxic than the tested active ingredients.

They call for stricter limits, full-formulation testing, & public data.
‘Silent epidemic of chemical pollution’ demands radical regulatory redo, say scientists
An international team of scientists has issued a stark warning that current toxicology and chemical regulatory regimes are failing to protect public health and the environment from a host of toxins…

I’m doing a second auction for Patch, a local charity that provides food, cloths and toys for people in poverty. At Christmas time they gift toys to kids who’ve had a referral. What could be more in the spirit of Christmas? This little wren is up for auction to raise money for toys. Please dig deep

Read this thread. This is exactly why the OU story is so scary. What Adrian so aptly calls “wingnut welfare” is very attractive for mediocre right-wing students looking for a break.
As we follow the trajectory of the student at OU who wrote an essay citing zero sources and making no argument, got the instructor fired by claiming her 1A rights were violated, went on a tour of rw media and now seems poised to become a part of the TPUSA speaker circuit: (1/4)
