I'm pretty sure I'm the number one Weezer fan in the DMV. Gamer, Nerd, Movie Buff, VHS Collector and currently on a mission to watch every single episode of The Simpsons (to be finished whenever).

I finally played Boom Blox for the first time and MAN I would have loved this game as a kid. This is super addicting and it makes me glad I dug out my Wii.
S33E13: Boyz N the Highlands

The main plot revolving arounds cults and film students is kind of interesting but what brings this episode down is the obnoxious Lisa subplot where she acts like an only child while Bart is gone. I do like all of the Scottish music, though.

S33E12: Pixelated and Afraid

This is some of the best Homer and Marge chemistry we've gotten in a long time. And the whole episode is about them and only them. No random filler B-plots, just Homer and Marge surviving in the woods. Great episode, albeit the ending is a bit rushed.

S33E11: The Longest Marge

Wow, I hated this one. A rivalry between Marge and Burns (the two characters whose voices have given out) over... a random football player. There's no substance or meaningful commentary. Reminds me of the Middle Years... and not in a good way.

S33E10: A Made Maggie

Sort of reminds me of Moe Baby Blues, but this isn't nearly as good as that episode. That being said, there's a lot of good Fat Tony stuff here, as well an enough jokes for an entire runtime. I love how Johnny Tightlips plays into this.

S33E9: Mothers and Other Strangers

Maybe this is a hot take, but at some point this show needs to retire Mona as a character. I usually enjoy her appearances but this one messes with the canon of Homer thinking his mom was dead for 26 years way back in Mother Simpson. Not enough good jokes.

S33E8: Portrait of a Lackey on Fire

So this actually starts out pretty good with Smithers falling in love with a fashion designer, but it quickly becomes predictable. Victor Garber as Michael is okay, and there's a few fun and sweet moments but it's whatever overall.

S33E6&7: A Serious Flanders Parts 1 & 2

A two-parter that's actually worth two parts?! More importantly, when was the last time The Simpsons was actually gripping. It's a parody of the Fargo TV show which I've never seen, but I have seen the Cohen Brothers film.

Non-Canon Count: 19 and 20
S33E5: Lisa's Belly

Whatever. Lisa is self-conscious after gaining weight due to medical steroids and it drives a wedge between her and Marge. There's a couple jokes here and there that I liked but this is run of the mill Lisa stuff.

5/10
S33E4: The Wayz We Were

Maya returns! This isn't as strong as her first appearance, but it's a decent episode overall. It even ends with Moe proposing, which means new status quo change this late in the game. The b-plot going nowhere really brings this down, though.

6/10
S33E3: Treehouse of Horror XXXII

The Bambi intro looks amazing, the Parasite parody is decent, the one with the trees reminds me too much of the dolphins one from twenty years ago, and The Ring parody is neat but way overdue. A decent ToH overall but pales in comparison to last year.

S33E2: Bart's in Jail!

Don't worry, they didn't actually recycle that idea... yet. It's actually about Grampa getting scammed and the family tracking the scammers down. The ending is a little too long, but I like the plot structure and a number of the jokes at least.

7/10
S33E1: The Star of the Backstage

I would say we're off to a bad start to this new era, but this is a S32 leftover anyways. This is a collection of random Broadway takes with Kristen Bell doing Marge's singing voice, and it kind of flies in the face of A Streetcar Named Marge. Boring.

I'm on a bit of a Scooby-Doo kick lately because tis the season but I now must summon fans to answer a question.

Have Scooby and Shaggy ever actually solved a mystery on their own and not by complete accident?
What a massive improvement. While still not quite a decent season, this is the best since Season 25 number-wise. It's going to be interesting to see how this chart changes as we move into the Matt Selman years. Let's see if this show truly does get better as some say.
Season 32 kind of surprised me. There's only one real dud, one fantastic episode, and even some other episodes I'd go back to overall. With this, we are finally, FINALLY done with the solo Al Jean seasons.

Best: The Road to Cincinnati

Worst: Now Museum, Now You Don't
S32E22: The Last Barfighter

This episode is actually kind of fun. The first act with Bumble Bee Man's show is kind of novel, the John Wick references are pretty good, and the third act where the bar flies sober up is neat. Is this based off of Dan Aykroyd's Crystal Skull vodka?

7/10
S32E21: The Man from G.R.A.M.P.A.

I'll admit, this plot is fairly standard, but there are two things that lift it a little. Firstly, I like Stephen Fry as Terrance. Second, it's nice to have Homer sticking up for his dad instead of loathing him for once.

6/10
S32E20: Mother and Child Reunion

Yet another future episode. This has to be the most recycled ideas in one season so far. We have Lisa... not going to college and having a strained relationship with Marge which is kind of interesting. But Lisa being President returns... again.

5/10
S32E19: Panic on the Streets of Springfield

In this episode Lisa hallucinates a band member who's basically a parody of Morrissey from The Smiths and that's all you need to know. It has Lisa being pretentious and a Homer B-plot that goes nowhere. We get to hear Hibbert's new actor, though.

4/10
S32E18: Burger Kings

This is the second episode this season with a play on words of a fast food chain. I kinda like where this one goes with Mr. Burns running a plant-based burger chain, but of course it ends with him being revealed. The burgers look so delicious though.

6/10
S32E17: Uncut Femmes

This features the team-up of Marge and... Sarah Wiggum? At this point, this show is trying pretty much any pairing it can to try and keep things fresh, but there's nothing this episode did that The Book Job didn't do better.

5/10
S32E16: Manger Things

Episode 700! So not only is this the second floating timeline episode this season, it's also the second Christmas episode. And it's pretty good. I like how selfless Homer is when misses his family. Second time Homer has delivered someone else's baby.

7/10
S32E15: Do PizzaBots Dream of Electric Sheep?

The floating timeline strikes again. If you ignore the fact this starts with Homer being a teen in the 90s, the episode is pretty decent. I like how the family helps Homer relive his dream and the satire of movie remakes is fun.
