Teaching it at Alevel resulted in me looking up Plautus (the name of the tortoise) in an idle moment & discovering that all TS’s characters corresponded to a Plautus comedy. And you can analyse the scenes in a Newtonian object-pushing way too. Loved that he couldn’t stop making these jokes.

Love this poem. An anthem. I often say to my partner that I’m trying really hard to hide my inner lizard at x or y thing/group & they say ‘I wouldn’t bother - we can all see it anyway.’ What to do with being Godzilla ?
