I finished #Ta-NehisiCoates' #TheMessage & literally can't figure out why it's controversial. Ooh, 'Isreal's a colonizer actively colonizing' maybe? Well, Ta-Nehisi has—& showed—the receipts. Perhaps people should be less concerned with his saying that & more concerned with what's happening there. 🤷♀️

The next day, the entire answering machine tape was filled with calls. Some callers chided Joel for talking during the movie but most callers were excited, with one demanding “More! More! More!” Happy to have a hit, the station decided to make it a weekly show... and the rest is history.
