Like, there are power users here who don't believe sincere moral convictions exist, because they need to hate everyone who was right about The Horrors before they were. I can't point to something terribly concrete in the same way that I could point to antisemitic stereotypes in other areas, but I've heard a lot of people negatively make comparisons between autism and Jewish personality stereotypes.

Like, the reason why circumcision in common in the US is because of our privatized healthcare system. The UK realized they were an unnecessary cost and risk after they started the NHS and made healthcare a public expense, while doctors in the US saw additional thing to charge for!

What's really rough is that there are some people who suck shit at their job and will have a golden opportunity to blame the tech. "I couldn't keep up with what it was changing" says the man who literally never checks his PRs before sending them to review.

I actually do learn a lot using LLMs in my workflow. Because teaching educates you, and the only way to get feasible output from these things is to treat them like you would a new employee, not an infallible expert. It's wrong, I figure out why, I learn, I create documentation for later use.

I think it's becoming more apparent that there are a lot of people who are satisfied to have no life experience at all. They see a movie and never even ask how it was done, a person tells them something and it's just logged away as trivia, no deeper exploration needed.

I've heard parents in the past make Dyslexia and other learning difficulties all about them in a similar way, Autism being what it is probably just rubs up against their intolerance more frequently and exacerbates the reaction.
