this is what I mean about some voters seeming to lack internal consistency on their ballots.
Ballot #3 is from Lynn Henning. He checks his two holdovers, with no adds or first-timers. His column: www.detroitnews.com/story/sports...

I supposed I can understand giving a player extra credit for playing their whole career with one team if you care about that kind of thing, but it’s kinda silly to do that with a player who effectively played their entire career during the time of the Reserve Clause. He had no say in the matter!

I do not need to “save space” for dessert because I am not a child and I can just make myself sick by eating too much pie
i only have one true pie take: 99% of the time i'd rather eat more dinner than save space for dessert because i am not a child

Lost in all the hype about the catcher position was something Fantasy players should be very excited about: Francisco Alvarez maybe started putting it together last year.

He's just one of 10 picks for my WAY-TOO-EARLY sleepers for 2026: www.cbssports.com/fantasy/base...

ICYMI, I published my first round of sleepers for 2026, *mostly* focusing on players outside the top 250 in early ADP.
Nick Kurtz should be ranked well ahead of Bryce Eldridge in 2026 Fantasy Baseball drafts.

Obviously.

But if you want a taste of some of that big power upside without paying a SECOND-ROUND price, Eldridge is a very nice (very cheap!) pivot.

Counterpoint: It is extremely funny and maybe they should have simply not lost to SMU and Louisville.
The idea that the highest-ranked team in a Power 4 conference (Miami) can miss the ACC title game and the CFP is embarrassing for the sport.

Conference realignment messed up everything by making these leagues way too big.

There’s no amount of money you could ever possibly pay me to get into one of these. I like being alive, and “lightly tested electric helicopter prototype” is an easy way to end that

Just heard a fantasy baseball analyst refer to Ronald “Ah-Koon-Uh” and come on that’s like one of the easiest ones to get right! You can’t get the “ñ” wrong as a baseball fan in 2025!

I will always be at least a little bit resentful of people who got to be at the boygenius show at Brooklyn Steel www.youtube.com/watch?v=faJS...

The No. 1 reason football fans care so much less than baseball fans about their Hall of Fame is bc baseball puts its best players in immediately (save for 💉 guys obviously), so the ballot always features debatable players.

Meanwhile football's semifinalists are just 25 obvious Hall of Famers

I love beer. I LOVE a fruity cocktail. I like a nice red wine. I'm good on most other methods of getting to that specific destination.
I love how being drunk feels but I basically never do it because there's not a Scotch in the world that tastes better than Coke zero

Honestly?

Most of them.

As I've grown older, I've realized I just don't like liquor very much.
Enough about food. What liquor do you hate

YES an all-time sports media weird dude anecdote
November 25, 2025 at 8:38 PM
Does anyone remember this story? It was a guy who used to work in media and then went to become a scout for a team or something? Am I making this up?
who was that guy who used to sneak away from his family to chug gallons of milk at a time? We need that freak here

We need to do everything we can to encourage posts like this on bluesky. Terrible food opinions from big name sportswriters are genuinely the lifeblood of any social media app
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

Updated the Offseason Tracker with the Sonny Gray trade, which seems ... fine? For everyone? Red Sox got a solid (though declining) pitcher and still have room for another upgrade; Cards get a couple of moderately interesting arms: www.cbssports.com/fantasy/base...

Saw someone say Minnesota was a "bad landing spot" for JJ McCarthy and man you can just say you messed up your pre-draft evaluation of him, it happens to all of us

We're getting the Lord/Miller version of SOLO and the Edgar Wright version of ANT-MAN when I am president.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.
