Should clarify that it’s not bad to acknowledge how people (bigots) are going to use something bad happening to excuse harassment towards a community, it’s when you start to adapt that same logic yourself where it’s just now feeding into the generalization
The whole “this person is setting my community back by thousands of years” rhetoric is so stupid and embarrassingly pathetic to say, especially if it relates to identity. It just feels so pick-me.
