Ahoy there! Ys Nordics' time has arrived.

I'm less late to the party for this one than I was for any other Ys game! WOOHOO! 🎉🍾

adol fans deciding between which option to say when people ask why they like adol
I love Adol because he’s an ordinary farm boy doing extraordinary things all the time. He inspires everyone to find their own path and move toward the future, and frees the lands he visits from the past so they can do just that. He’s naive yet very book smart—he’s got a vast knowledge of legends and stories, knows multiple languages, he collects information and writes it all down—and he may get tricked by people but it’s often because he sees the good in everyone first. He’s wise beyond his years, willing to give advice and kindness to anyone around him, yet so unwilling to offer himself that same lenience, he’s hard on himself and an extreme perfectionist, he doesn’t want to write if it’s not accurate, he beats himself up if he ever messes up even if it was something out of his control, he holds back his own feelings to be a pillar of strength and support for others, so much so that characters even point out that he always says he’s fine even when he’s not. He doesn’t see himself as anything special even though he’s special to so many people. He has so much kindness in his heart for others, regardless of how they treat him, they’ll beat him and say he’s not wanted and he’ll still dive in to help because that’s the kind of person he is. Yet all this heroism and he’s still incredibly human too. He’s so passionate about anything he does, from preserving history in his writing to simply exploring and learning more about his world, to even caring for his weapons which he’s been shown to be meticulous about. (Continued in the other photo alt text, it’s too long) (Continuation of the first image) But his beliefs are so strong and it makes him so horribly stubborn, so stubborn even Dogi can’t get him to budge on things. He gets angry so rarely yet when he does he can be harsh even to those he cares about. He’s often loaded with sass too, he’s funny where he’s so nice to people yet will very happily mess with you or make a snarky comment for fun. And his relationship with adventure is so complicated, he adores it and he will never give it up, yet he acknowledges that it hurts him a lot too, his experiences are painful but he chooses to always keep going and never look back. Without adventure, he’s nothing, according to him—and all he wants out of life is to see the world and make people smile and dream along the way. And he does do that, and he’s happy with this life, so happy he still acts like a child when he comes across an old legend or ruins no matter how old he gets. He always stays the same Adol we know and love, sometimes stumbling but never giving up, reckless as anything, growing stronger and wiser with every adventure, and always excitedly looking to new horizons with his clear, childlike eyes.

Second Image: He’s stupid and bouncy (like a rubber ball)

Same with Miz. He pitched well enough in this series to deserve the chance to start, but maybe his stuff just works better when the opposition isn't seeing it immediately and has to adjust to it in-game. 🤔

I'm really torn between wanting to give him a start (or two) in this series and keeping him in this high leverage multi-inning relief role where he seems to be thriving.

Ideally. 😆

More pushups and situps and cardio days and finding adventures everywhere, fewer whips and dungeons. 😅🤞

Next stop, NLCS 👀
The Brewers pose on the field for a team picture after winning the NLDS against the Cubs. They wear black Brewers NLCS shirts.

“It’s a rivalry. Anytime we can beat them, especially in the playoffs, it’s freakin’ cool.”

Come for Brandon Woodruff thinking the video interview was a picture. Stay for the quotes.

I am still working through all the content, but enjoy a candid Miz on the plan for tonight.

Postgame victory celebration pics! Absolutely amped that I got to see a series clincher in person. Nothing in sports fandom tops that for a live experience. 😊

Bring on the Dodgers! #ThisIsMyCrew

Brewers 3, Cubs 1

The Crew wins the series 3-2. NLCS bound. Many high fives were shared with total strangers. The Dodgers come to American Family Field on Monday.

Something special could be brewing. #ThisIsMyCrew
