A second mention of our beloved wall in Parliament today shows an understanding that the wall is an ongoing thing, a living memorial to our beloved dead. ❤️
Three years ago today we found this bit of heart-shaped moss on the wall, and adopted it as a memorial heart. Mossie is still going strong! ❤️ #ThrowbackThursday

The UK Covid Inquiry second report concludes that the response to the pandemic was often a case of ‘too little, too late’. We will never forgive the then Conservative government for partying while they left the country vulnerable and grieving.

Was proud to stand next to fellow volunteer @franfd.bsky.social at the @covidmemorialwall.bsky.social for this interview, talking about our late husbands and the importance of the Wall's permanence... ❤️
Two of our volunteers spoke to the BBC about the government's announcement that The National Covid Memorial Wall will be made permanent - and of the Wall's importance in bridging institutional accountability with public grief. ❤️

A powerful piece from @drrachelclarke.com

"The collective amnesia of those damned by the Covid inquiry is pernicious and unforgivable..."

We will never forget. ❤️
"My NHS colleagues & I weren’t willing to let the bodies pile high in their thousands. Boris no longer mentions them at all."

My piece on the responses to the UK Covid-UK Inquiry report that try to airbrush the dead away.

Sincere thanks, @theobserveruk.bsky.social.

Everyone who has memory-holed the pandemic in the UK should take a walk along the Covid memorial wall in London. Each heart represents a single person who died of Covid, and it goes of *forever*. It's very, very long.

Updating the number of covid dead in the UK. ❤️
November 21, 2025 at 7:10 PM
Once again, we have put up our banner and updated the number of covid dead. More than a quarter of a million people in the UK have died with covid as a cause of death on their death certificate. A devastating milestone. ❤️

An absolutely beautiful day at the wall - made even better by visitors bringing us treats! We are so grateful for everyone's goodwill and support. ❤️

Part of me still cannot accept that my Dad's name is on that Wall, that he lived a long happy life, only to die an avoidable death, let down by the government be voted for.

Thank you.
Today, as the #CovidInquiry releases its module 2 report, we are thinking especially of everyone who will have to relive the trauma of that time, who will have to hear of the government failings that led to their loved ones' deaths.

We will never forget our beloved dead. ❤️

Love to others, like my family, who shudder when headlines tell us 23,000 lives could have been saved. The chaotic, lazy Tory Gvt under Johnson, the worst Gvt at the worst time. Respect to all at @covidmemorialwall.bsky.social for giving us somewhere to go when there was nowhere to mark our loss. ❤️

Improvised memorials are fascinating and powerful. This one offers a moving variation on the tributes left after collective (graffiti, notes, flowers at République after 11/13 in Paris) & personal (flyers seeking missing loved ones after 9/11 in NYC) traumas, ephemeral then preserved after the fact
