In Scotland we’re known for braving the cold, battling the wind and pretending it’s ‘taps aff’ weather at 12°C. But there’s one thing we won’t just tough out - losing Scotland’s wild places.

It’s in our nature to act. Sign our petition and stand up for nature: www.wwf.org.uk/scotland/202... ✏️

Love and Garbage is well worth a read. I've not read any of his other books though.

Lovely portraits! Tree Sparrows are beautiful, they make me very happy every time I see them (which is not very often).

📢 Lugg Meadow, the UK’s largest remaining Lammas meadow, is under threat from housing plans. A rare habitat, rich in wildlife and tradition, could be irreversibly damaged.

🚫 We’ve objected to the proposal. Now it’s your turn.

Hi Imogen, that's a beautiful photo of a lovely moth, thanks for sharing. We'd rearranged as I can't make this Friday. I'll DM you.

Yes! It was a lovely activity for lockdown. You got to watch videos of families of Burrowing Owls outside their burrows, identify them as adult or young and note what they were doing.

The hairstyle is very worrying, I'm trying to block that out of my mind.

Totally agree, Burrowing Owls helped get me through lockdown! (Zooniverse had a wonderful Burrowing Owl survey that you could get involved with online. That was back in the day before Zooniverse became the AI training site it now seems to be)

A couple of days ago I saw three V formations, following each other across the sky above Edinburgh, wonderful sight.
