Let’s sketch the magnificent beast that is Deinocheirus!

Deinocheirus mirificus was a huge ornithomimosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous in Asia. This herbivorous dinosaur had huge arms with large claws that were probably primarily used for digging or gathering plants

In this species, males can sometimes have asymmetrical arm like this, with one much larger than the other. This is actually the first time I have ever seen it!

None of the guidebooks I own show a photo of this condition, so if my ID is correct, I think this might be a pretty rare shot 🦐✨

Up close and personal, a meeting with the magnificent wolf. WHAT an experience! Seeing one of my favorite subjects to paint, so close, feeling its power but also its gentler nature, intelligence and enigma.
I was offered this opportunity in Langedrag Naturpark here in Norway. Definitely recommended!

#brrrdcember2025 - Day 15 - Guianan Cock-Of-The-Rock

Are ornithologists okay?!?!?!?!

Ballpoint, Graphite (H) for mid tones, and colored via Clip Studio Paint. This is my 2nd attempt at my new style! I love it!

The pen / digital art style combo turned out absolutely wonderful! 💙

And I agree. Ornithologist name choices are definitely questionable 😂

Painting practice with an okapi.

The first time I saw one, I was a little girl visiting the St. Louis zoo. I was enthralled. They’re such mythical-looking creatures. I should draw them more often!

Thanks to @animalphotorefs.bsky.social for the reference photo.
