There aren't a lot of free agent pitchers remaining on the market that meet Atlanta's stated requirements for a rotation addition this winter

The Braves have been very specific about the criteria any rotation addition needs to meet, and at this point, it's unlikely any of the remaining free agent starters meet all of them.

They were going to ask him to play second base, leaving Jacob Wilson at shortstop
He took 1/$20M and guaranteed time at shortstop from Atlanta instead.
