No, Jason Foley was not tendered a contract. He was non-tendered, as were the other pitchers DFAed on Tuesday. Sorry, when I went thru the list of arb eligibles I forgot to erase his name.
Tigers arbitration moves:

Non-tendered: Andy Ibáñez

Signed: Matt Vierling ($3,255,000), Jake Rogers ($3,050,000), Beau Brieske ($1,157,500)

Tendered: Tarik Skubal, Casey Mize, Will Vest, Zach McKinstry, Matt Vierling, Jason Foley, Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson, Kerry Carpenter, Tyler Holton

Indeed. Keep in mind, too: Hao-Yu Lee and Max Anderson both crushed lefties in Toledo this past season, so this potentially opens an avenue for them to find a role in Detroit at some point next year.
Jahmai Jones is the new lefty killer..

Lange, a Lee’s Summit West grad, was DFA’d by the Tigers earlier this week & is under club control through 2028. He spent most of the season on the IL after lat surgery. Notched 26 saves for Detroit in ‘23.

One change to the All-Star week schedule from MLB’s new TV deal with NBC: The first round of the MLB Draft was moved to Saturday (July 11, 2026), and the Futures Game shifts to Sunday (July 12).

I expect as much of an outcry to bring back the NBC Game of the Week theme as there was to bring back Roundball Rock.

A year after Jason Foley led the Tigers in saves, he’s a 40-man roster casualty as he works back from shoulder surgery. Foley would’ve been arbitration eligible after not throwing a pitch for Detroit this past season.

Tigers officially announce Gleyber Torres accepted his qualifying offer. He's the first Tiger ever to do so.

Gleyber's return gives Tigers veteran stability in their infield without taking up a spot long term. It also moves Colt Keith back to 3B for now while allowing patience on Kevin McGonigle.

Wrote in today's newsletter that Gleyber Torres' QO decision could impact Kevin McGonigle's chances of making Detroit's Opening Day roster.

Torres accepted the QO, per multiple reports, so would expect McGonigle to see more time at SS and 3B rather than 2B in the spring.
These 5 Top 100 prospects could be directly impacted by offseason moves

Hall of Famer Hal Newhouser would have been on this list, but the Cy Young award hadn't yet been created when Newhouser won back-to-back AL MVP awards in 1944 and '45.

1. Tarik Skubal
2. Garrett Crochet
3. Hunter Brown
4. Max Fried
5. Bryan Woo
Tarik Skubal wasn't a unanimous AL Cy Young winner, but he got 26 of 30 first-place votes from members of the BBWAA. Garrett Crochet got the other 4.
