You don't need a garage to own a cargo bike!

We do, however, recommend a storage cover, otherwise you may need to commit to some serious digging out...

I'll repost this tomorrow, but if you're commemorating the Boston Mooninite Scare anniversary today, one of its heroes is nearing the end of his life, and you can let him know how much that moment meant to you and help his family out here

I think that Apple TV's original productions are the best of the streaming services.

Today, my face is fine (a blessing; I really don't know how I got so lucky on that) but my whole right shoulder and neck are severely ache-y. Was also funny to shower last night and notice my scraped knee from this bike crash next to the still-healing bike crash from wet leaves 3+ months ago.
i rode my bike today. the bike lanes are getting better slowly, but it's still tough. While taking the car lane i ended up hitting a pile of slush at a bad angle, and completely wiped out. thankfully I think my face slammed a little bit into a snowberg instead of just road. it hurts a lot.

The Star Market Parking Lot has a lot of snow in it. (This pile did not exist last night.) It is being put there by a front end loader.

AltNPS is absolute trash, grifter bullshit, and has nothing to do with anything. This has been true since basically day one, but during Trump II they've amped it up 10-fold and anyone who interacts with them should stop.
Completely insane. AltNPS claimed to know the name of Alex Pretti's killer, refused to say it because "the truth always comes out," and then just deleted the post.

A man was executed on the street in my hometown, and AltNPS is using that as an excuse to vaguepost for attention.

My guess is about a foot of accumulation so far in Somerville near Porter Square. Fluffy flakes, but a lot of it.

Also, bikers say there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad gear, but I’m here to say that I definitely don’t have the gear to go bike riding in six inches of powder.

When a person drove into a crowd of protesters in 2017, it was called an act of domestic terrorism; the person who did it is currently serving a life sentence plus an additional 419 years of incarceration as a result.

it really bothers me that the driver in this crash was arrested at the scene, but the driver of a crash where someone *was killed* 3 blocks away was not only not arrested, but wasn't even charged with anything until after a 6 month pressure campaign.
If only there were some kind of way to restrict the speed of vehicles on our roads couldn't smash through buildings and injure people. But it's impossible to think of such technology existing; no vehicle today has such a thing, right?

There is a lot of content in the world. There is more good content I would enjoy than I will ever be able to consume. But I still feel guilty when I rewatch something I enjoy because I feel like I should be seeking out new things instead of watching an old thing.

Kidnapping leaders of foreign nations is a bad thing.

I don't think that we should be doing that. And I'm really not sure who thinks this kind of thing is going to work out *well* for us in the end. It seems utterly insane to me to believe that the positives outweigh the negatives in 2026.

It is hard to argue this is not the objectively correct ranking.
Definitive ranking of the main Star Wars movies

1. Attack of the Clones
2. Empire Strikes Back
3. Force Awakens
4. Last Jedi
5. New Hope
6. Phantom Menace
7. Return of the Jedi
8. Revenge of the Sith
9. Rise of Skywalker

influencing via social media is a thing that i have thought at times would be a thing I should try to do, and I have always been wrong.
i have said this before but if you are actually interested in influencing people beyond a narrow circle of too-online journalists you will be making direct to camera videos on tiktok, instagram and youtube. if you primarily post on text-based social media then you're just dicking around.
