It's today! "Despite, despite, despite" is out! The shortbox comic fair is live (October 1st to 31st) "Despite, despite, despite" is a 44 pages digital comic. A couple of little of little digs in a big city are going through a rough patch. Bug recently lost his job and Milo works to support them both Despite it all, they keep going. Today's destination? The supermarket. Preview page from the comic showing Bug under his covers on his phone. Milo is calling to him and eventually climbs onto the bed to kiss Bug on his cheek. This has been a really rough few days. I recently learned of a controversy around our book THE PRINCESS IN BLACK AND THE PRINCE IN PINK. Some were outraged that Deseret Book carried it (a chain of bookstores in the west). Deseret Book appears to have complied to their demands and removed it. 1/

One of the first comics I knew I had to grab this year, and it's such a treat, glad I nabbed it before the month was over
"despite, despite, despite: i’ll be upfront this one made me cry. a simple story, following the life of two struggling artists who have a good day together despite none of their most pressing issues having any clear solutions. there’s a rich, warm atmosphere, especially present in the artist’ care to illustrate individual grocery isles and a diverse array of people from all walks of life in the city. it makes its message of supporting your loved ones being supported by your community obvious thru little touches i really appreciated."
