I've talked about ikoku nikki (Journal with Witch) for years on a story that I go back to yearly for it's portrayal of grief and how to feel human in the face of it. Not just how to feel sad, but to forgive yourself when you're not.
Now that the anime is here, I cannot recommend it enough.

Not that Journal with Witch (Ikoku Nikki) needed a 3 episode test, but its 3rd episode seals why it's such a good slice-of-life drama.
That said, I relate to Makio's baggaged stoicism a lot, especially when I reflect on how often I with death, and I how handled my father's passing.

I think on balance it's good that Walz is doing this. And I especially appreciate the explicit reference to compiling evidence for future prosecutions. But Eliot knows this space as well as anyone out there. So these are good things to keep in mind, be aware of, have processes, etc.
