I guess no matter what social media platform is developed, and no matter how hard they try to make it a friendly and safe place, there will always be an element of humanity that logs in with "Can you believe the horrible shit going on the place we just escaped?" providing screengrabs and videos.

I got intrigued and checked oed.com. Forebear is actually 'fore-be-er', one who was before, which I didn't know, and there is even an 'afterbeer/afterbear' with quotations from 1625 and 2008. There's also an 'afterliver', so take your pick!
It's the one where the hero sheds the trappings of his modern ways because he's enraptured by the soulful, simple beauty of the culture he moves into, ultimately turning against his own society.
Explain a film plot badly:

1% golden-boy colonizer becomes savior for downtrodden indigenous people.
Explain a film plot badly:

Intergalactic oligarchs fight over pharmaceutical rights.
Explain a film plot badly:

George Clooney and Brad Pitt fall in love and rob casinos together.
My wife scored/earned this commemorative 'Purple Rain' hoodie and is, as I type, driving out to the after-party for its premiere showing, before it goes to Broadway.
I think it's baked in our DNA. We were just waiting, as a species, for the technology to catch up to our urge.
Even better. Hope it clears up in a cycle.
Yeah, that's a serious issue. Bluesky Support's account here has been inactive for a year, but the Feedback function should still work if you wanted to report this.

They've probably heard it before, gods know what progress is being made on it. But still.
So, when you see "content is missing" because someone else deleted it, and you see your reply to it, are you saying you're unable to delete your reply? That seems like a glaring error.
People in very different groups and unrelated circles seem to all be coming to that conclusion. Turning the presidential campus into a Memory Care village.
You're clearly not considering the tax dollars this has saved the average American.
"Dude, thanks, but I was clearly going for 54-40."
And she's doing a bang-up job of it, too.
Prandials go in mandibles.
That's my evening sorted.
This doesn't seem to be outside the possibility of something ICE agents would do.
I was going to go out for a walk by the creek under the moonlight, but I'm kinda hooked on blocking all the lovely people @thelouvreof.bsky.social introduces us to.

That's about as effective as voting, and it's better than eating all this leftover candy.
I should order a roll of stickers that say "I Did a Thing" with the outline of my state and just leave it there. If that's not illegal.
I voted, for all the good that does.

We don't even have interesting stickers. Just a red circle with white letters that read "I VOTED."

Q. Why doesn’t “post-traumatic stress disorder” have an en dash?
Q. Neither I/me nor my dog responded. “I” or “me”?
Q. What’s the best way to style “the f-word”?

We answer these and other questions about Chicago style in the November Q&A at CMOS Online. cmos.style/QandA
Wife wondered why she woke up so well-rested and ready to tackle the day. I suppose his death is like a carbon sink or a release of the spiritual capital he'd sucked up and cached, even if it's only like a check for ten bucks we weren't expecting. We must've seen the same thing with Kissinger.
[stating a problem]
"Have you tried [X]?"
"Yes, that was one of the first things we did, and here's why it didn't work."
"Well, I was just saying, if you hadn't tried [X], here's how you might go about it."

Aren't you a writer? Aren't you a … dreammonger?
He has my sympathy. It sounds like the sandwich is exhibiting some of the same traits as my cognitively declining 18-year-old cat.
The defense team presses Lairmore on whether the sandwich really 'exploded.' They return to the photo of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground.

"That sandwich hasn't exploded at all, has it?" defense asks.

"It looks like a little bit is coming out towards the bottom," Lairmore replies.
Currently sifting through publications. So far I've discovered five flash fiction places (I'm not writing flash fiction) and three defunct titles, one of which would've been an awesome fit if they hadn't crashed 12 years ago.

Still—found three likely places and have selected three stories for them.
Gets up my nose when someone says I'm listening to a prerecorded episode. I want to grab their collar, slam them to a brick wall, and demand a postrecorded episode. #AmEditing
