It's tough.. Somedays, I feel I lean more to the side that Jumpman and Lady aren't the same people as Mario and Pauline (which also isn't the same person as Smalline); but I also don't like Cranky's grudge be against some "random" and not Mario himself. Ultimately, I HOPE they just keep it ambiguous

into a diverse and powerful species, developing an advanced ancient
society. But while the fortunes of the Krempire ebbed and flowed
through the ages, nothing in their history would prove so disastrous
as the rool of a certain Kaptain-King, whose unprecedented greed
led him to provoke the young leader of their neighboring island.
After all, what could those flea-bitten apes do against
the mighty army of tooth and scale and klaw?
And thus begins the story as we can witness it. It is a tale of defeat,
destruction, and despair: a story of baddies in a cartoon platformer
series who feel the suffering and consequences of their rotten ruler
and his poor decisions; who directly reflect their king's follies in
their fates and their forms - whose change in status and fortune
can be directly traced from game to game. It is a tale of misery
and mockery; a people who lost their strength and their homeland,
cut off from the powers that created them, in-universe and out:

Not sure what's the spawn rate for certain enemies in Smash Run, but I always got excited back then when I got Kritters roaming about the level; But above all, the fact you can randomly get both Kremlings and Tikis on the screen was really fun! I dunno how many times I managed to see that though! 🥺

people also often forget that, even a smaller game, made by a side-studio, could very much influence the whole franchise in some way going forward; There's always something of note, and to me, it's just ditasteful to sideline them as if they don't matter.

It's 10:30PM.. I have barely any energy left to keep my eyes open; I need to wake up at 6 tomorrow. And I haven't eat anything still before shutting down, I still need to do a grocery list and the obligatory skincare due lasers.
