There’s a lot of confusion about “Nation of Sanctuary”, so here’s what it really means 👇

It’s a *resettlement scheme* to help people the UK Government has *already* given asylum to.

Welsh Government doesn’t control immigration, and it can’t choose who comes here. It *must* take in people the UK Home Office sends here - by law.

So Welsh Government set up a plan to do that, and called it Nation of Sanctuary - just like Scotland called theirs The New Scots Strategy, and NI has its Northern Ireland Refugee Resettlement Scheme.

Of course I've not tried it, I researched it first.... It was developed by a quack scam artist, it has no reputable science behind it or any convincing non-anecdotal evidence that it is effective.....but i tell you what, if you want to give me the £900, I'll give it a go

There’s lot of Covid going around at the moment, again. I don’t qualify for NHS jabs, which are now very restricted, but I just paid £90 for one at my local pharmacy. As a freelancer, that’s a lot less expensive than having to take a week or two off if I get ill, let alone risking long term issues.

Also, many people on benefits due to illness/disability are no longer eligible for the NHS booster.... many are now (more) worried about catching covid, but can't afford to go private
