This announcement will feel like déjà vu to many people in Wales.

These stations were already announced in last year’s Spending Review, with funding spread over a decade.

Reheating old promises is not the generational transformation Wales was promised.

The Cabinet Office surely shouldn’t be allowed to investigate itself

An independent inquiry is needed and he should step aside as minister in the meantime

The High Court rules the UK Government acted unlawfully in proscribing Palestine Action.

Plaid Cymru were right to be sceptical about how the Government presented the proscription order. Its case was fundamentally flawed.

Anti-terror laws must not be misused to silence protest.

Plaid Cymru MP Ben Lake has criticised Reform UK for dodging a debate about Russian interference.

“Nathan Gill committed treachery for £40,000, so we must ask serious questions about the integrity of his party, whose members I notice are absent from today’s debate.”

Morgan McSweeney’s resignation won’t save Keir Starmer.

Making a sacrificial lamb of his chief of staff cannot erase the Prime Minister’s own failure of judgement in appointing Peter Mandelson as US ambassador.

Responsibility rests with the PM.
February 8, 2026 at 2:35 PM
Starmer knew of Mandelson’s close links to Epstein when he first appointed him.

His shockingly poor judgement is an insult to the victims of Epstein’s horrific sex offences.

Overprivileged elites have been shielded by the system, undermining public trust and failing victims.
February 4, 2026 at 5:15 PM
Mandelson’s association with Epstein was known when the Prime Minister personally appointed him as the UK’s ambassador to the USA.

How can we trust Starmer’s judgement?

How can we trust him to remain as Prime Minister?

Genuinely astonishing that the Secretary of State for Wales thinks this is a remotely acceptable way to respond to another MP, simply because they represent a different constitutional tradition.
Asked a perfectly reasonable question of the Wales Office. Got a party-political rant in response.

People want to know what discussions are taking place between their two governments.

Wales deserves better than twin Labour governments in cahoots to conceal their failures.

Starmer pledged to rebuild trust in politics before his election in 2024.

But the PM failed to keep this promise following his series of terrible judgements.

Mandelson must lose his seat in the Lords and we need a police investigation into his misconduct in public office.
February 3, 2026 at 11:42 AM
Addawodd Starmer ailadeiladu ymddiriedaeth mewn gwleidyddiaeth nôl yn 2024.

Ond dyw’r Prif Weinidog ddim wedi cadw ei addewid ar ôl cyfres o benderfyniadau gwael.

Rhaid i Mandelson golli ei sedd yn yr Arglwyddi a chael ymchwiliad heddlu i'w ymddygiad mewn swydd gyhoeddus.

The people of Wales are being failed by a broken criminal justice system.

We need a system that keeps communities safe, supports victims and survivors and helps people rebuild their lives.

Devolution is the only way we can do that. Here’s how and why👇🏼

Mae’r system gyfiawnder yn methu pobl Cymru.

Mae angen system sy'n cadw cymunedau'n ddiogel, yn cefnogi dioddefwyr a goroeswyr, a’n helpu pobl i ailadeiladu eu bywydau.

I wneud hyn, rhaid trosglwyddo’r pwerau i’n dwylo ein hunain. Dyma sut a pham 👇🏼

The ambition to halve violence against women and girls within a decade is welcome.

However, after years of chronic underfunding, many Welsh organisations’ futures are at risk.

The UK Government must ensure that services receive long-term funding so that victims can access the support they need.
