Under Tory Govt in 2024, child poverty in UK reached a record high, with 4.5 million children (31%) living in relative poverty

So of course they’d go ape over starving UK children being helped by Labour’s budget..

It doesn’t fit with Tories keeping the poor in their place.. what what❗️😡
"It's amazing what people get so angry about and on that side it's lifting children out of poverty," says Rachel Reeves as Conservative MPs try to shout down her announcement that she is scrapping the two child benefit cap which has pushed hundreds of thousands of children below the poverty line
November 26, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Rising Green Party poll numbers 📈 secured the removal of the two child benefit cap.

A huge win! 🏆

Also placing more money in the pockets of people who will spend it in the economy ♻️ rather than tax breaks for rich companies or people who hoard it to take it offshore.
Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

£26 billion tax rise announced today in Labour's budget

£90 billon, how much tax revenue is lost because of Brexit EVERY Year

The reason taxes are going up and spending is being cut is because we can't afford stuff because of Brexit!

Ready for dishonest Reeves?

She knows growth will never be achieved outside the CU or SM.

She’s just too scared of losing Labour votes to do anything about it.

Party before country. Always.

Tomorrow Rachel Reeves will continue her ultimate dishonesty by telling you she had no choice.

An 8-10% GDP hit of Brexit was double what was predicted. It was won on lies, dishonesty, breaking of electoral rules and Russian interference.

These tax rises are unnecessary. 🧵

🔥 Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study quantifies it:

A 6–8% hit to GDP

That's £180bn-£240bn a year

It means less tax revenue and so less money for everything.

Brexit made Britain MUCH poorer.
