Orwell: “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Stephen Miller called the victim, an ICU nurse at the VA filming ICE, a “domestic terrorist who tried to assassinate federal law enforcement.” Greg Bovino said he “wanted to massacre law enforcement.” You saw the videos. How can any Republican not call for their resignations?

“Responding to a viewer comment earlier this month, Dokoupil said, ‘I can promise you that we’ll be more accountable and more transparent than Cronkite.’”
This is an amazing article throughout, but this line in the last graph made my jaw drop as someone old enough to have watched Cronkite regularly.

This piece is SO good. Excellent framing of what CBS News has become under Bari Weiss and the Ellisons.
“Dokoupil works for Weiss, Weiss works for Ellison, and Ellison works for his family’s business interests, which means seeking favor from the White House… there are clouds of ionized gas that are doing as much to ‘work for you’ as any of these people”

On 1/20/25, Trump gave a blanket pardon to 1500+ criminals responsible for the #January6 Capitol attack, including Michael Oliveras.

He was sentenced on 2 felonies, civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding law enforcement officers, and was sentenced to 60 months in prison on 10/3/24.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

A major change in the exercise of administrative warrants. Thank you to the brave whistleblowers who exposed this.

So many questions about the current DHS/CISA management of access to intelligence are raised by this article.

The CISA Acting Director, who failed a polygraph when he insisted on access to highly-sensitive cyber intel, is a former IT official from South Dakota government, appointed by Noem.
“At least six career staffers at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency were suspended with pay this summer after organizing a polygraph test that the agency’s acting director, Madhu Gottumukkala, failed.” 12/21/25 www.politico.com/news/2025/12...

What’s coming next in the category of state-run television?

A Historic Executive Order requiring a TV channel devoted 24/7 to Trump?

Or, a compulsory broadcast of the Two Minutes Hate followed by enthusiastic praise for Big Brother?
