We were given a choice of term assignment & I chose poem because it seemed easiest, wrote a page-length poem the night before on a freaking typewriter, got an A. Maybe because it rhymed.

I was thinking the funniest outcome was if they didn’t pick one at all, just said there were no deserving nominees this year, but then I saw an article about how Norway is PREPARING for backlash & now think that would look like cowardice. Bring it, Nobel Prize Committee.
