I don’t really get the appeal of being cruel and calling it tough love or whatever. Too many people irl have been kind to me in my dire straits to believe cruel is smart or common

I have a rule I’d like to establish for new technology: the No Flying Cars rule
It’s that thing about tech from our imagined, ideal sci-fi futures that can’t work. It’s ideas so awesome that can’t work but if we did them?
It’d get people killed.

Still not sure how AI solves the “life is horrible and I can’t focus on being creative” problem outside of “what if we made it worse and claimed it helped.”
People who aren’t writers think writer’s block is at least as big and real a problem as I thought quicksand would be, as a child.
