As the trans community have known for a while now - the definition of activist is someone who dares to state they exist

Quite misleading how the some are calling it a ‘win’ for Sandie Peggie whilst referring to it as a ‘trans case’, when in reality it fell down in all the areas specifically related to anything trans-related.

Basically NHS Fife fucked up in dealing with a complaint from a HR perspective. That’s it.

The main story on BBC Sport is an article on how Jonjo Shelvey left Newcastle to move to Dubai because he thinks London has too much crime, with a very thinly-veiled "there's too many foreigners in the UK" tone to it all.

Not for the first time, fuck the BBC.

Happy October 14th to all who celebrate! (PS - time for you to rewatch The Leftovers)

Shout-out to James Hocken of @washingtonspirit.com, who I just briefly chatted with at Washington Dulles Airport (thanks to my @leedsunited.com tracksuit getting his attention). Good luck against @angelcity.com in Thursday’s game (and for the Tigers this season)!

If you happen to be one of the children of Dan and Shelley from California, who I just met at Heathrow as they finish up travelling Europe for their 50th wedding anniversary - you have wonderful parents. And good on you for treating them to their trip!

Just a reminder that the political left are held to a much higher standard than anyone else, and that counts double if you’re working class or female.

Farke couldn't be clearer. He feels they need more quality before Monday at 7pm and if they don't, 'it will be difficult' to stay up. #lufc

@michaeltsb.bsky.social After a rough week, at least tonight will give you plenty to pore over for a bumper edition of Propaganda. Grimsby, eh?

Imagine trying to ruin our first match back in the top flight by putting Andy Hinchcliffe on comms. Sky TV is, as always, fucking shit.

I don’t even work in theatre any more, and even I’ve spoken to someone about CG recently. Plenty of people still talk about what happened - just not the people who are perhaps most accountable.
I was startled to discover that Helen Lewis’s new book has a chapter devoted to Chris Goode, wherein she suggests the theatre community or elements therein have tried to forget him, and while I think it’s a bit more complicated than that, it is true Nobody Talks About Chris Goode anymore…
Andrzej Lukowski reflects on Helen Lewis’ new book The Genius Myth, questioning whether British theatre buried the troubling legacy of Chris Goode rather than reckoning with it 👇

Living that First Class Lifestyle* on my train back from my work trip 😎

Off to London for a conference. It’s a lovely reminder of how I don’t miss the overbooked carriages, wank coffee, shitty WiFi and overpriced tickets of my commuting days.
