Im not saying its not problematic but you're viewing a movie made near 30 years ago with a modern lens. 90s were still horrendously phobic and it was the norm and the jokes of the era. Different time and culture. Does it mean it's right? No. You can go to a con and ask him if he regrets it some time
dandeedee.bsky.social
Maybe he doesn't regret making it. It got good ratings from audiences and critics alike and he's never been one to care about negativity towards his stuff so why would he regret? He's also right saying it was "woke" for the time it came out where LGBTQ+ were still caricatures, stereotypes and jokes.

He will double down or say "Actually it was Pelosi like!"

They're so desperate to murder their own US citizens
dandeedee.bsky.social
Not saying it's not problematic but it was a different time and he is not the same person making his movies that he was back then.
dandeedee.bsky.social
Guy was a 26 year old male when he made that movie in '97. He acknowledges the issues around it. He's done a lot since then to grow

The film itself has both positive and negative views both inside and outside the LGBTQ+ community that seem to be very dependent on the viewers on experiences

Always nice to point out in every one of those situations, it was on Democrats to compromise with them and now the shoes on the other foot, they're saying they don't have to compromise, its the responsobility of the dems to.

Or you could go with a hairless cat if they're a companion animal? My brother has two ofnthose as well but to describe it best, they feel like ballsacks when you touch them but are the loveliest personalities. Just you may need to put clothes on them and they look like angry avacados
dandeedee.bsky.social
My brother has a hypoallergenic terrier of some sort. Hes an Airdale Terrier I believe, curly white hair, a 40 pound dog, fantastically disgusting beard he wants to rub on you and flops on his back when anyone approaches for belly rubs.

Isnt that the one where they had the premature ejaculation joke where his toothpaste arm explode upon seeing the girl?

Getting a bit defensive that you have a disliked opinion? Maybe it's better you walk away rather than doubling down and getting mad that other people don't like it.

So in otherwords, people found a random rock based off someone's grandkid's testimony about pilgrims stepping onto a rock, then, said rock got moved multiple times finally being brought more inland in the 20s.

A bit of history behind the rock if people are all "but climate change fake cause this!"
dandeedee.bsky.social
Plymouth Rock was first mentioned 121 years after the pilgrims landed. The proposed rock as nobody knew which rock just that it was "great" was attempted to be excavated and moved dozens of times, breaking it once. The date wasn't placed until 1880 and it was moved to its current place in 1920.

Shut them down, do not give them an inch to distract, repeat the question and make them answer only that question, if they refuse still, end the question with "you have not answered this question" and movie on or stop the interview.

The tech is surely better, but in many cases it's not needed, tends to be invasive and insecure, and as was stated isn't made with quality.

For example, do you really need a Bluetooth app for a washer or refrigerator that has a CCTV so you can see in your fridge without opening it?
dandeedee.bsky.social
Ehh, I'll give you digital stuff, but I feel a lot of home appliances and tech haven't become "better" but more bloated with cheap needless features in the name of perceived convience that when they break, it can make the appliance inopperable and near impossible to fix so you have to buy new.
