Spent near a week off all social media and whereas it probably helped to be out of the news cycle it made me realize how I'm dependent on the toxic relationship i have with it because i don't have a social circle outside of it.

Always liked how planned obsolescence used to be heavily chastized and even had federal action against it but we kind of stopped caring as a society as companies have made it in their EULAs that you agree you know the software will be made obsolete within usually a few years.

After this past week, i don't want to deal with another alcoholic every again but since he's family, im going to have to indefinitely and he has a kid.

My nephew watches a Roblox strram who on his stream said to his surprise he dropped 3.2 million Robux in 6 months... thats about $40k USD... on Roblox... in 6 months...

Got a new phone that is 5G capable (needed the upgrade since my Note 9 was no longer compatible with critical apps)

Today i realized another blockade to first time home buyers: Developers.
Found a 200k house i wanted that needed work i was willing and was told 6 developers put bits on it and will likely tear it down.
They did the same to another house and future planned listing price for that one is 525k...

I had an epiphany yesterday as to why I never got into sports and i believe it stems back to when I was 6 in the YMCA youth wrestling and got choked out in a wrestling match with a kid 3 years older (i was a chunkier kid) and i was given a participation trophy for my loss.

It's crazy to me if you have to use a kennel for a pet, quite often you're having to reserve a spot sometimes months in advance and only after 1 or 2 "test" boardings along with having all pet docs up to date.
I understand the need for sure, its just almost as much work as planning an actual trip
