Hi I’m Danica, if you don’t already know me from Twitter I’m an environmental and housing campaigner based in Bristol UK. I’ve dedicated the past 4 years to saving our Sites of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCIs) which includes species rich grasslands like the Western Slopes and Yew Tree Farm
Me trying to wake up the trees so they can help us fight our nature hating politicians. 😂🌳🌲✊ our wildlife protections are at risk. If you want to help save them email your MP here action.wildlifetrusts.org/page/183790/...

We should all follow Danica’s lead of hidden questions in our letters to our elected representatives! 😬

Important read.
When I emailed my MP asking her to sign the motion to protect habitats regulations I got a dismissive boilerplate response. I’ve heard this is standard for most Labour ministers so I thought it might be helpful to deconstruct the reply in a substack post

The people who keep our country running.

This is good on the deliberate mistruths to attack protections for nature.
Fingleton Review said Hinckley Point mitigations "will save just few hundred fish per year. EA’s figs show the actual figures to be 8,000 times higher".
Cost of mitigation claimed to be £700m. Actual cost 7% of that figure.
