The modern construct is not based on its misunderstandings, it's prejudices, it's shortcomings.

It is based, alone, on its semblance of rationale - a foreskin for a life

I remember visiting cousins in South Africa in the eighties. So many jewels. It's a pity we can't go back to those days - although of course I hate Paul Simon which my parents played too much

I don't mind Angelique Kidjo, MC Solaar and various. Different vibe

ECB monetary policy needs to lead by example. They are not following their legally obligating price stability mandate

This needs to be inserted as a warning label on every economics textbook ever published ↓
We show that interest rate hikes by central banks are less powerful in reducing inflation than conventional wisdom suggests. Correcting for publication bias, the output cost of reducing inflation increases. Based on our meta-study of 145,000 point estimates and confidence bounds.

Raising interest rates has NO EFFECT on inflation. Monetary policy in it's current form is not fit for purpose - how long will the charade continue?

Patrick Imam and Tigran Poghosyan show that despite earlier and sharper tightening, inflation targeting central banks did not achieve systematically better outcomes than their non-targeting peers during the 2022 global inflation surge.

The IRA *was* the Marshall plan that was needed to be implemented to get hydrogen to the level it needs to be in the US to decarbonise a range of sectors. It was, basically, perfect considering various cost/logistics constraints.. and was/is to an extent being replicated in the EU to speed things up

From the 'TYNDP 2024 Scenarios Methodology Report', I have used Chatgpt to convert (a few, selected by Chatgpt) base hydrogen import prices (€/MWh) to €/kg. This probably doesn't involve pipeline costs, but this could be subsidised. Costs are very similar to LNG import prices (€1.80/kg)

In Chengdu, engineers have launched the world’s first hydrogen-powered maglev train, gliding silently at 281 km/h without fossil fuels. The train’s magnetic levitation eliminates friction, while its hydrogen fuel cells emit only water vapor — a perfect blend of speed and sustainability.

Just becoming completely obvious that governing bodies in the EU are corrupt and incompetent

To fully meet the AFIR regulations for hydrogen, it's about 800 refuelling stations. That's one every two days for the next 5 years. No plan, no clue, no nothing.

"The anti-hydrogen agenda is nothing to do with emissions mitigation objectives, reducing energy costs for low-income families, or avoiding fossil rentierism: it is everything to do with ideology, faith, and preserving the status quo"

Click link below to see what 3,500 (E/G) utilities think
Anti-hydrogen sentiment is a bad-faith argument, built on ideological talking points and not sound data from industry or policy sources
Unfortunately they are both committed anti-hydrogen campaigners - despite the incontrovertible reality that (only) hydrogen can and will be supplied to replace about a third of EU final energy demand, by 2050

Green hydrogen could get to $1/kg, being a rounding error for most cost prices of delivered goods, if it were given the same leniency and privileges as fossil fuels right now
November 3, 2025 at 12:57 PM
More fossil fuels/LNG? It's not economically viable for many more years. We know what is happening, the costs are obvious, and without a structured shift to low cost #hydrogen and renewables the US is going to lose to the point of total insolvency

Hydrogen for $2-3/kg is half the price of diesel
