There was a job description going around for a surgeon a couple of weeks back and the thing that jumped out to me as an Australian (after the insane salary) was only 3 weeks off per year. 4 weeks annual leave is the legislated minimum for a full time employee here, plus 10 days sick leave.

I was a bike messenger for nearly 20 years and sometimes carried some insane weight. The worst back injury I've ever had was a couple of years ago reaching for a towel on the bathroom floor
