Why does the Copilot IDE Plugin need complete access to all the repositories?

I don't want it to change anything on GitHub and just want to work with my code in my IDE.

Over the past few weeks, I've looked at a long list of .NET libraries, that are somewhat related to PDF rendering.

While there are many great commercial or copyleft options, the permissively licensed side of things is quite empty.

Could have just ask any user with a Steam account...

Why would I start to build another game library somewhere else? What happens with my existing 672 games?

My Steam account is 18 years old. Valve has been great all these years, so there's a lot of trust. What's your product track record?
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

You know who LLM companies are targeting when after every code generation they claim: "This is now a production-ready solution!"

Meanwhile, every developer: "This is WIP / under construction / not production ready / v0.1 / ..."

Remove GitHub's "Ghost" Notifications

🔗 duerrenberger.dev/blog/2025/10...
Remove GitHub’s “Ghost” Notifications - DevLog
In September there seems to have been some spam on GitHub leaving behind Ghost Notifications, fortunately there’s a way to remove these via GitHub’s API
duerrenberger.dev
October 7, 2025 at 12:11 PM
To get rid of the ghost notification run the follow curl command:

curl -L -X PUT -H "Accept: application/vnd.github+json" -H "Authorization: Bearer " -H "X-GitHub-Api-Version: 2022-11-28" api.github.com/notifications -d '{"last_read_at":"2025-09-28T00:00:00Z","read":true}'
If you also unread @github.com notifications that don't appear due to purging of spam/scam repos, you can mark the hidden notifications manually via API.

ℹ️ You'll need a classic access token for that.

Turns out Homebrew has moved macOS 13 to Tier 3, which means updating packages may require building from source. Unsurprisingly building LLVM from source on a normal @github.com CI runner isn't exactly practical... ⏳

Time to move away from the last x64 macOS image (macos-13) then.
