Every once in a while I remember something weird and cool from the Expanded Universe. I think Disney has mostly dropped the ball on Star Wars but the old stuff is still there and I still love it.

- best new fighting game character
- best voice performance of grunts/barks/non-dialogue
- best game with no MTX
- best patch/update to a live-service game
- best bang for your buck

The trap of the DAW is that it's functionally infinite. As a novice, you should limit your instrumentation so that you can understand the role each part plays in your arrangement. Even in the digital space you should write for small ensemble. Don't just add layers to mask weakness in partwriting.

As a player I care a lot about the fonts in a game. If your fonts are super basic, I don't want to play. Arial doesn't belong in your game. The UI needs personality.

One of the dumbest and weirdest trends in robocalls is how the prerecorded voice on the other end has this slightly halting delivery of the pitch, with a tinge of upspeak, like it's someone reading from a script for the first time.

My even more unpopular opinion is unless you have personally experienced the thing, you should probably refrain from having an opinion on it.
We need to return to shaming people for parroting YouTube/TikTok with stuff like "When I want your opinion, I'll just find the YouTuber who gave it to you."

One thing I’ve realized about Bluesky is that it’s hard to get an answer to a question here. On old Twitter generally you could ask something and someone would give you a correct answer. Here, no such luck. It just drifts away into the aether.

Voting should not be something you have register to do. Voting should be something you’re legally required to do. It should be incredibly easy to vote and against the law to not do so. It should also be constitutionally protected; no disenfranchisement under any circumstance.

Would be wild to see a set of romhacks that redo all of the sprites consistently for each style.
Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.
